Sellotape Cinema are artists Stephen Snell and Steven Chamberlain who create film and projections worked directly onto sticky tape and played through specially adapted projectors.

Through a series of handcrafted animation device workshops and performances Flicker Skitter Stumble explored the experiences of the residence of Digbeth

Both the kaleidoscope and the flipbook were patented and manufactured in Birmingham. John Barnes Linnett, based in Smithfield St (now Moat Lane) patented the flipbook. The kaleidoscope was manufactured by Philip Carpenter of Inge Street. The region is made important contributions to the development of moving image.
